Jane is a supporting character who appeared in the first issue of the Care Bears Comic, The Plot to Steal Summer. She is an optimistic and excitable young girl who gets caught in a hailstorm while making a sandcastle on the beach with her brother Dick.

The Care Bears travel to Earth to find out the cause in the sudden change of weather.
