2002-2006 Toyline
Superstar made her debut in 2006 during the Care Bears relaunch toyline. She was made available in several varieties, including comfy plush, "troll hair" plush, and 8" and 12" varieties. Her 12" variant came packaged with a Care Bears Family DVD.
Adventures in Care-a-Lot
Superstar received a redesign only a short time after her debut to emulate the style of characters from Adventures in Care-a-Lot, now sporting a white visor with a red star outline in the middle and her hair pull up with a green scrunchie. Her belly badge was also simplified to include a plain red star with a two-layered white and orange heart in the middle.
While she doesn't have any speaking lines in the series itself, she does appear in its corresponding toyline, as well as the Adventures in Care-a-Lot children's book Care Bears Snow Fun by Scholastic where she is seen riding a snowboard.
Descriptions
2005-2006: Ready, set, go! In sports and off-court, Superstar Bear dazzles everyone with her winning attitude. Whether she wins or loses, this bear always keeps going all out! Whatever you're doing, remember what her tummy symbol means - at the center of every "star", there is a big heart.
2007-2011: Superstar Bear loves playing games! She plays her heart-out no matter what. Her super, try-your-best attitude makes her a good sport, a good friend and helps her be a star in almost everything she does. Maybe that's why she gets to wear a super, big, gold star for her belly badge!
Notes
- Superstar Bear can be seen as the female equivalent to Champ Bear from the original Dic animated series and Funshine Bear from Adventures in Care-a-Lot, as each are athletic, outgoing, and have yellow fur.
