Sweet Sakura Bear (スウィートサックラーベア) is a toy-exclusive Care Bear developed by American Greetings for sale and marketing specifically for Japan. She has light pink fur and her Belly Badge is a matching pink sakura or cherry blossom flower with a small red heart in the middle.
Polite, modest, and soft-spoken, Sweet Sakura is meant to exemplify the traditional values of a dignified Japanese girl. Though she is most associated with the season of Spring (when the cherry blossoms that make up her namesake bloom), she has an equal love of them all and tries to celebrate their own unique beauty. After all, it's the little things, in her mind, that matter most, and lives by the credo that one should savor every moment they're given.
Toys
Sweet Sakura was first made available as a plush toy in 2009 sold exclusively in Japan. Since then, she has become something of an unofficial face of Care Bears in the country, and even appears on the official Japanese website of the franchise.
