The Angler is a large purple beaver who vaguely resembles a Care Bear. They fish in the Silver Lining. The Angler was first introduced in Care Bears: Caring Quest, and teaches the player how to fish.

The Angler has violet purple fur with darker purple ears, eyebrows, tail, and paws. The inside of their ears is white, and they have a white, cloud-shaped spot on their belly that resembles the bellies of Care Bears. Their dark green overalls have a patch in the middle of a pink heart and a yellow fish, perhaps implying this is their belly badge.
The Angler has buck teeth and a black heart-shaped nose. They wear a large lily pad with a lotus on their head.
