Care Bear Wiki

The Grabbergus was invented by Bright Heart Raccoon to aid the Care Crew in collecting Care Hearts, and is seen in the Care Bears & Cousins Netflix series, specifically in the first episode, Take Heart.

The Grabbergus acts as one part Care Heart Vacuum, one part Care Heart Tracker. The Care Hearts are known to hide, and so the tracker is incredibly important to the Care Heart collecting process. Once a significant number of Care Hearts have been collected, the vacuum function is reversed and the Care Hearts are uploaded to the Share Cloud, which allows the Care-o-Meter to remain at it's full capacity. This is essential for Care-a-Lot because if the Care-o-Meter drops below a certain point, Care-a-Lot will begin to disappear.

However, the Grabbergus' capacity is not limitless, and if it reaches maximum density from holding too large a number of Care Hearts instead of depositing them into the Share Cloud, it will have a breach. If the Grabbergus has a breach when the Care-o-Meter is already running low, then the Care Hearts will scatter and jeopardise the safety of Care-a-Lot.

Sabotage Attempts[]

In the episode Take Heart, the Care Crew aren't careful enough when storing the Grabbergus and it falls from the Cloud Clipper to the beach, where Beastly snatches it from behind a rock. He then collects more Care Hearts and uses them to create a number of household items for his cave, including a throne, an eight foot rug, decorative lights and photo frames. This attempt at sabotage failed as the Care Bears and Cousins were able to track him down and surround him before performing a rainbow ray on him, forcing him to return the Grabbergus, although he gets to keep the furniture he made.
